President and founder
Born and raised in North Central NJ, studied Sociology at Rutgers University and spent ten years residing in Charlotte, NC before relocating to Chicago in 2005. In 2010 Mona relocated to a family farm in South Central PA.
Along with numerous jobs in the M&M plant in Hackettstown, NJ, Mona's earliest accounting experience began within each of the A/P and A/R departments at the M&M/ Mars National office while in college. Her retail food industry career began in 1986 at Wakefern Food Corporation, working for six years in the general merchandise/ full service division at its inception, as a distributor representative / retail specialist.
In 1992, Mona began working for a mass market brokerage covering New York metro local grocery, drug and mass merchant accounts.
In late 1993, Mona's career shifted from the mainstream drug and grocery industry into the natural food industry, getting hired to manage and grow the newly created supermarket division of an East Coast Natural food broker called Natural Specialties.
In 1998, Mona left the brokerage business and began working up the manufacturing ladder from regional sales manager to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The list of manufacturers includes a few dynamic companies such as Kashi, Clif Bar, and Oregon Chai.
From 2006 to 2010 Mona took a break from the natural food industry to work in parking in downtown Chicago. Starting from scratch, mona created her company within the parking industry working with city ordinances, union negotiations, tax proposals, employment, payroll, human resources, invoices etc. The company grew from one parking lot and one bar valet to ten individual lots, two entities (one union, one non union) in under four years.
Mona returned to the natural food industry in 2011 to work for the top sustainable canned protein company on the market, as a special accounts manager. Mona is now the Director of Retail Sales for the east coast with double digit growth in volume and store distributions.
In summary, Mona's 30 years of industry experience, crossing over many industries, classes of trade and an extensive customer base are unmatched.
